I escape to face the deep

To escape into the void

Approach with an open mind and heart

Yet the arrow penetrates the skin and comes out the skeleton

Mind keeps rattling off numbers and predictions

Heart aches for a storm to pass

No pass is ever enough

Grasping at the rock for balance

Keen on standing tall

For all

To witness

Knowing the monkey crashing cymbals inside is just waiting

For you to return

In the quiet room, alone

You’ve escaped

To bloom in doom

Knowing that to ascend

You will need to unravel

And leave knowledge

Behind

Like the hotel key card

In a drop box

Amongst all the others

Footsteps on the stairwell

Maybe it’s the choice that is without a doubt

Given at birth like some tattoo

Only the rare bird of prey

Can view

From above.

Creation. Transformation. Metamorphosis play. Onward. To float over desert expanse, on a breeze.
